iwanrj.com – Jakarta – The most recent case has occurred in China, where Xiaomi has started filing a request to invalidate the panoramic patent of Huawei’s technology.
Currently competition in the market smartphones tighter than ever before, companies like Apple, Samsung, Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi and others are constantly releasing new products to reach a wide range of users.
In addition, the products made by these various manufacturers also have the latest technology with the aim of being at the forefront. However, competition does not only occur at the time of sales but in other things. For example, companies compete with each other by suing each other in court.

According to an announcement from China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Xiaomi has filed an application to invalidate Huawei’s panoramic imaging patent.
The technology patent that Xiaomi has asked to cancel has the number ZL201380073251.6 which contains a method and a terminal for obtaining panoramic images. This isn’t too surprising either, as the two companies have had similar problems before.
In February, CNIPA published a notice disclosing that Huawei had filed a lawsuit against Xiaomi, because Xiaomi was deemed to have infringed as many as 4 of Huawei’s technology patents.
According to a China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) announcement, Xiaomi has initiated a request to invalidate Huawei’s panoramic imaging patent.
The patent in question is entitled “Method and terminal for obtaining panoramic images. In fact, this development did not surprise anyone.
In February, CNIPA published a notice revealing that Huawei had filed a case against Xiaomi, alleging infringement of four of its patents.
The patents in dispute cover methods and devices for control signaling, feedback systems during carrier aggregation, panoramic image capture, and lock screens for mobile terminals.
After that, Xiaomi emphasized that the two companies are actively negotiating a patent license and are considering media to reach a mutual agreement. The two companies believe that licensing and co-operating on technology patents promotes innovation in the public interest.
On the other hand, Xiaomi also highlighted China’s intellectual property protection system, which offers various settlement mechanisms, including administrative and judicial media.
However, from this latest information it seems that the negotiations between Xiaomi and Huawei have ended negatively, and that both of them will bring this matter to court in the future.

It should be noted that patent lawsuits tend to take a long time around the world, and will likely do the same in China. On the other hand, the relationship between technology companies can be unique, and companies may reach an agreement, despite ongoing tensions.
