Berikut LockBit Ransomware Hackers Spread BSI Data to the Dark Web

iwanrj.com – Jakarta – Lockbit ransomware hackers, share data belonging to Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to dark web sites. This was done after the negotiations between Lockbit and Bank BSI did not reach common ground.
In the @darktracer_int account post on Tuesday (16/05/2023), you can see 2 images containing data files distributed by Lockbit on the dark web site, as well as LockBit’s statement regarding BSI Bank data.
In the first image it can be seen that there are more than 10 files shared by LockBit. File names vary from Retail Banking, Financing Operations, Contract Requirements Documents and so on.
While the second image contains LockBit’s statement asking the Indonesian people to stop using BSI. Then invite BSI customers to ask for compensation from the bank for this case.

Meanwhile, according to the @darktracer_int account, the cause of LockBit spreading Bank Syariah Indonesia data was because the negotiations between the two failed and the bank did not provide the ransom that was in accordance with the hacker’s request.

Previously, LockBit claimed to be the mastermind behind the BSI service, experienced a disruption a few days ago and carried out ransomware or stole 1.5 TB of data belonging to Bank Syariah Indonesia.
The malicious hacker had 15 million files measuring 1.5 TB belonging to BSI. This data is sensitive because it consists of customer data, employee data, confidential documents and so on.
It was also stated that LockBit was negotiating with BSI regarding this data, and if the negotiations failed, the data would be leaked on the internet via hacker sites.

Unfortunately the negotiations failed, and finally LockBit shared the stolen data on the Dark Web. It is unfortunate that this incident happened because it is feared that the data could be used by hackers to commit cybercrimes against the people of Indonesia.
