Xperia 1 V carries a 6.5-inch OLED screen with 4K resolution and refresh rate up to 120Hz. The screen is covered by a sheet of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.

The rear body is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and has pocketed IP65 and IP68 certification so it is dust and water resistant. There’s no doubt about the performance of this cellphone because it uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card.

This smartphone carries a 5,000 mAh battery that supports wired-based 30W fast charging and wireless charging. In the camera department, the Sony Xperia 1 V has a main camera with an Exmor T sensor or a 52 MP multi-aspect sensor with an F/1.9 lens opening.

The 52MP multi-aspect sensor has a 4.3:3 ratio, or halfway between the usual 4:3 for photos and 16:9 for most videos. So while you can’t go full resolution in either scenario, you do get a bit of a crop in each one.

A 52 MP sensor is also equipped with BSI Quad-Bayer imagers modern with individual pixels of 1.12 micrometers, which combine their four closest pixels or modes 4-to-1 resulting in 12 MP photos with 2.24 micrometer pixels.

Ability BSI Quad-Bayer this helps maximize the amount of light captured and reduce in-camera noise.

Furthermore, Sony claims that this new sensor will allow the Xperia 1 V to work 2 times better than its predecessor for shooting in low light environments.

Besides, available Night Mode which can be used for maximum photo results. The 52 MP main camera is supported by a 12 MP telephoto camera, and an ultrawide camera with a 12 MP sensor. While the front camera has a resolution of 12 MP.


Xperia 1 V will be available in Black, Platinum Silver and Khaki Green color options. The price for the Sony Xperia 1 V is EUR 1,399 or Rp. 22.7 million and will be available on the market at the end of June 2023. [NM/IF]
