iwanrj.com – Jakarta – WhatsApp seeks to encourage conversations in interactive chats. One of them is by testing the GIF feature on WhatsApp which can move automatically before finally launching it to users.

Actually, the GIF feature has been around for a long time on WhatsApp. It’s just that this animation only moves once, and the user needs to tap the GIF again to animate the GIF.

It’s just that in the future it looks like GIFs will move automatically or autoplay, because the feature is currently under development. quoted Telset from GSMArena As of Wednesday (03/05/2023), the auto-moving GIF feature is being tested on WhatsApp beta for Android.

In the screenshot posted on the WA Beta Info site, users can set GIFs sent in chats to move automatically, so they don’t have to press GIFs manually again.

Anyway, it’s a fairly minor update but it makes sharing animated memes even more fun, so it can have a big impact on users’ chats. Let’s wait, when WhatsApp will bring this feature to all users.

WhatsApp Creates Animated Emoji Feature

Previously WhatsApp was working on an animated emoji feature on the platform. Previously, this feature that was able to display emoji in a more interactive manner already existed in Telegram.

WhatsApp is developing animated emoji using the Lottie library. The feature is still under development in WhatsApp Desktop beta.

Apart from Desktop, WhatsApp is working on bringing the same feature to future WhatsApp beta updates for iOS and Android.

“This feature has been seen during the development of WhatsApp Desktop beta and will be released in a future application update,” wrote WA Beta Info as Telset quoted from the site on Friday (21/04/2023).
