iwanrj.com – Jakarta – Elon Musk is planning to change the name of his social media, namely Twitter, to Titter, which he showed through a personal tweet on April 11.

Elon Musk, as CEO of Tesla and owner of Twitter, shows a photo in his Twitter post which, if you look at it, is a nameplate outside Twitter’s headquarters located in San Francisco with the letter w removed.

The w has been painted white to allow it to blend into the background of the nameplate, so the company name has changed to Titter, Gizmochina reported.

This is not the first time Musk has wanted to change Twitter’s name to Titter, as he has previously launched an online survey in this regard. This new move appears to be his response to the online survey.

Musk wrote in the caption of the photo that the owners of Twitter’s headquarters had asked to keep the Twitter logo intact, so the company painted the w over to solve this problem.

This change also appears to have been in the works for several days, with a photo of the headquarters’ nameplate being uploaded to Twitter by several other users.

On the other hand, Musk also changed the Twitter logo last week. He changed the iconic blue bird logo above the home button to the head of a Dogecoin dog, which caused the price of Dogecoin to increase by 20%. Dogecoin is the cryptocurrency it supports.

Additionally, Musk has undertaken several renovations to Twitter’s headquarters since taking over the company. By January this year, he had sold about a hundred items from an office building, in a bid to increase Twitter’s revenue.

However, the owner of Twitter’s San Francisco office, SRI Nine Market Square LLC, is at odds with Musk over several issues. Earlier this year, Sri filed a lawsuit against Twitter, because Twitter failed to pay the rent for the headquarters building in December 2021 and 2022. [NM/HBS]
