Google will Resolve the Android 14 Background Services Issue

iwanrj.com – Jakarta – Android 14 will soon be announced at the Google I/O event, Google and Samsung will address background service issues in the operating system.

It’s no secret that even though Android was developed by Google, the system is often customized by the manufacturers smartphones.

This causes each smartphone brand to offer its own unique experience, although there are also problems experienced by some users from the software side. One of them is handling background services differently which is a problem.

Today, Google and Samsung are teaming up to address one of the most frustrating issues with inconsistent background service handling.

Reported Telset from Gizmochina, the two companies are working together to ensure a more uniform implementation of the API on the Android 14 background, this work started with the Samsung One UI 6.0 update, the successor to One UI 5.1 for smartphones galaxy.

Actually, background service issues are nothing new. Manufacturer smartphones has long limited certain features in the system, in order to extend the battery life of its devices.

Then, this is the cause of the application experiencing these problems and making the user experience not good. Android 14 introduces changes to address this issue, including simplified background operations and new Google Play policies.

Samsung is the first company to partner with Google on this issue, and the collaboration of the two will be seen in the upcoming One UI 6.0 update.

When app developers target Android 14, the experience will improve significantly. Basically, Google does have guidelines for dealing with background processes, but these guidelines haven’t been very effective until now.

The Google I/O 2023 event will take place on May 10. It is hoped that the search engine giant will introduce Android 14 at the event while explaining in more detail about its various new features. [FY/HBS]
