iwanrj.com – Jakarta – MediaTek has quietly released its newest chipset, namely Dimensity 7050. This chip will make its debut in the latest HP Realme series, to be precise the Realme 11 Pro Plus.

Some time ago, the Realme 11 lineup with Realme 11 Pro Plus was spotted on the Geekbench testing site powered by the newly released MediaTek Dimensity 7050 with 12GB of RAM.

Currently, MediaTek is actually rebranding the Dimensity 700, 800, and 900 Series chipsets which are under the new Dimensity 6000 and other 7000 series. MediaTek’s efforts aim to simplify the product portfolio and provide a more transparent naming system.

Overall the core technology and specifications of the new processor are largely the same as the Dimensity 1080, which means that the Dimensity 7050 is a rebranded version of the Dimensity 1080, according to a Gizmochina report.

Chipsets Dimensity 7050 is produced using 6nm process technology from TSMC, and has 8 configurations coreswith 2 perfomance cores Cortex-A78 has a speed of 2.6 GHz, and 6 cores power saving Cortex A55 with a clockspeed of 2.0 GHz.

This chip also uses the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, which supports LPDDR5/LPDDR4X type RAM and UFS 3.1/2.1 type storage.

MediaTek Releases Dimensity 7050

For screen matters, this processor supports screens with a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels with speed refresh up to 120Hz. Camera support, this chip can accommodate lenses up to 200MP, 4K HDR video recording, and brings features such as hardware HDR video, triple HDR-ISP, and MENR.

For video processing, this chip has support for encode with HEVC and H.264 formats, as well as video playback compatibility with HEVC, H.264, MPEG-1/2/4, and VP-9 codecs.
