At Google I/O 2023, Adobe and Google announced that Firefly and the Express graphics suite will be integrated into the Bard chatbot, allowing users to create, edit, and share AI drawings right from the Bard command line.

Based on information from Engadeget, it will be possible for users to create images with Firefly, then edit and modify them directly using Adobe Express templates, fonts and assets within Google Bard directly and can even post them directly to social media when the image is ready.

The resulting images are described as being of the same high quality that beta users of Firefly are used to as they are all created from the same database of Adobe Stock, an open-licensed, public domain content.

In addition, Google and Adobe will leverage existing Content Authenticity Initiative features to mitigate some of the threats to content creators using generative AI technologies.

Bard users will likely check out and try out the new features in the coming weeks leading up to a public release. [FY/HBS]
