For those who don’t know, this application helps you to sync whatever is on your phone and Windows operating system, which allows you to access content on your cellphone such as photos, messages, and notifications directly from your computer.

Apart from that, this application can also make it easier for you to transfer files and data across multiple devices, just by keeping your smartphone in sync. Not only that, with Phone Link you can stay connected to your cellphone in remote conditions.

Now, Microsoft has expanded support for the Phone Link application by allowing iOS users to be able to connect their phones to computers with the Windows 11 operating system, reports Gizmochina.

The Phone Link application previously only supported Android devices since 2015, where Android users could sync phones, messages, and contacts to their PC.

Although, the syncing feature was initially tested in late February and has now been released to a wider range of platforms, it still has limitations. For example, the app doesn’t allow transfer of pictures and videos from PC and unsupported group messaging.

Despite these limitations, the app offers integration options that make it easier for Windows users to connect their iPhone, as some users may not be familiar with alternative apps like Unison and AirDroid.

To link or connect a user’s iPhone to Windows, users can simply type Phone Link in the Windows 11 search bar, and users can immediately see whether they already have access to this feature or not.

Please note that Microsoft is expanding iOS support for Phone Link in Windows 11 in mid-May. [FY/HBS]
