Officially launched, these are the specifications and prices for the HTC U23 and U23 Pro

iwanrj.com – Jakarta – After rumors circulated about its existence, the HTC U23 and U23 Pro were finally officially launched in Taiwan today. The base model will come in Aqua Blue and Roland Violet, while the pro model will go with Coffee Black and Muxer White. So, how much do the HTC U23 and U23 Pro cost?

Rumors about HTC’s plans to launch a new smartphone have actually been circulating for the last few days. Is well-known leakster Evan Blass, the one who first shared the pictures of the two devices. The pictures show the phone in two color options.

Meanwhile, in terms of design, the back of this HTC phone seems to be inspired by the old version of the Samsung Galaxy S Ultra model. You can see there are four cameras and a brand logo there. For the front, you see a screen with a punch-hole in the middle.

In terms of specifications, as previously leaked, this smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

In addition, as reported by Gadget360 on Thursday (18/5/23), the two models will also support dual nano SIM, run Android 13 out-of-the-box, and feature a 6.7-inch full-HD + (2400 x 1080 pixels) at a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The base model will rely on a triple rear camera unit, while the pro model will have a quad rear camera system.

The triple rear camera unit on the HTC U23 includes a 64-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The quad rear camera unit on the HTC U23 Pro model includes a 108-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 5-megapixel macro unit and a 2-megapixel depth camera.

On the front, both phones rely on a 32-megapixel camera sensor placed in a center-aligned perforated slot at the top of the screen.

Powered by a 4,600 mAh battery pack, the HTC U23 series phones support 30W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging. For security, both devices have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

This phone also supports WiFi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity, and even comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.

The HTC U23 Pro weighs 205 grams and measures 166.6mm x 77.09mm x 8.88mm. While the base model weighs 202 grams, but with the same size. Both come with an IP67 rating.

Offered in Aqua Blue and Roland Violet color options, the base model HTC U23 is available in a single 8GB + 128GB storage variant. Price not yet known.

Meanwhile, the HTC U23 Pro is available in an 8GB + 256GB variant and a 12GB + 256GB variant. Available in Coffee Black and Muxer White color options, the two HTC U23 Pro variants are priced at TWD 16,990 or around IDR 8.2 million and TWD 17,990 (around IDR 8.6 million) respectively.
